Endurance
Championships format
A 30 minute timed qualifying round followed
by a three hour race, running as one grid with three separate
classes; prokarts, world formula and hire karts.
The North East Endurance Championship will be held over 8
rounds starting April 2007 (first Saturday of each month)
with 4 rounds being held at Warden Law and 4 at Teesside (please
see dates and locations below). Championship points will be
allocated on the best of 6 rounds, 3 from each circuit, and
a bonus of 10 points will be awarded to those drivers who
complete all 8 rounds. Points are awarded as follows based
on finishing positions: First 25 points, Second 20, Third
17, Fourth 15 then 1 point less per place down to position
18 which gets 1 point (with a bonus 1 point for pole position.)
The timed qualifier determines your grid position with a minimum
of two driver changes during the race.

Prokart
regulations
Tyre choice will be one of the following.
Dunlop SL1 slicks, Bridgestone YDS slicks
Dunlop KT3 wets, Bridgestone YDK wets
or the Kartline tyre can be used.
Minimum weight 180kg
Standard Honda GX160 engines. 68, 70, 72
and 75 jets only. Standard gaskets. If non standard exhausts
are fitted they must be sealed by Prokart Engineering (Jeff
Johnson) 01932 780314
The championship will be run in accordance
with the UK accepted Ratpro Honda GX160 Technical Regulations
(details of which can be found at http://www.ratpro.co.uk/chal/regulations2002/class-regulations).
Senior
World Formula Regulations
Tyre choice will be one of the following
Dunlop SL1 slicks, Bridgestone YDS slicks
Dunlop KT3 wets, Bridgestone YDK wets
or the Kartline tyre can be used
Minimum weight 162kg
Engines as sealed by Zoom with the exhaust
as supplied with the kart; both 40 and 50 mm axles are allowed.
Secondary Brake Connections
A secondary connection must be evident between the brake pedal
and the master cylinder to provide support in the event of
a primary brake failure. All brake cables must be a minimum
of 1.8mm in thickness.
Each round will have first place trophies
on offer for each class.
Each class Endurance winner will receive
a Championship shield.
Cost: £120 per team when pre-booked
or £140 on the day with a minimum of two drivers per
team, fuel included (transponder hire £10).
The Championship organizers and scrutineers
reserve the right to check any suspect part or parts from a
competitor's engine(s) directly with a standard part as supplied
by the manufacturer.
The scrutineers along with Ratpro may select
one or more kart(s), before or after signing on has been completed,
from which the engine(s) shall be removed. Engines may be
returned to competitors without re-assembly.
The organizers reserve the right
to take away an engine or engines for inspection and dynamometer
testing at the competitor's risk. There is no time scale for
this procedure and replacement engines will not be supplied.
