Marie Curie Charity Event 2004

Karting North East were pleased to host the annual karting event for Marie Curie Cancer Care in November. Thanks to all that took part to raise money for such a deserving charity - it was an excellent turn out considering the elements. After briefing, the first drivers took to the circuit, hoping to -register a good lap time ready for the all important two and a half hour race. Shower intervals throughout added to the excitement, as teams rose to the challenge, increasing consistency to stay in contention. As the race reached the climax the team in second place could do nothing but look down the tail pipe of the "Speed Freaks" team as they clinched victory and claimed the trophy.
