Are there minimum ages for racing?

The minimum age for racing in our thunderkarts is strictly 16 years old, however we do run junior induction sessions for those aged 8-15 yrs old. In addition, once a month we run a junior race night giving those under 16 yrs old the opportunity to race against other young drivers.

Can I wear my own safety equipment?

All safety equipment required for your event is provided on the day, however you may use your own at the discretion of the circuit manager. Helmets must be full face with visor, to a minimum of BS standard; and race suits must be of a suitable fire-resistant material and cover the driver's entire body down to wrists and ankles. (All owner drivers must supply their own safety equipment).

Are there any medical conditions that would prevent me racing?

Upon arrival for your event, for safety reasons all guests must complete a simple medical questionnaire to ensure they are fit and well to participate. Should you have any concerns as to whether a medical condition will affect your ability to participate, please contact Karting North East for further details or consult your doctor. Karting North East operates a strict policy on alcohol and drugs. Any driver we believe is intoxicated will not be allowed to drive.
